The Warmest Welcome Doula Services

Fifty years from now, there are many things we will not remember, but birth memories are among the most powerful we will carry with us.  I have a passion for childbirth.  That passion includes helping women understand the childbirth process, helping women understand the choices available to them and supporting them and their partners before,  during and after birthing.  Being a doula is not about telling you what to do during childbirth.  This is your birth and the role of a doula is to help you have your most satisfying experience so that you are able to offer your sweet baby the warmest welcome.

What is a Doula?

The word "doula," comes from the Greek word for the most important female slave or servant in an ancient Greek household, the woman who probably helped the lady of the house through her childbearing. The word has come to refer to "a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth."
